Advanced Electrolysis can treat the following skin lesions
Age Spots
Age Spots known as Sun Spots, Brown Spots, and Liver Spots are harmless, flat brown
discolorations of the skin which usually occur on the back of the hands, neck and face of people mostly
older than 40 years of age. These spots more than anything else, give away a persons age. The spots are
caused by the skin being exposed to the sun over many years and are a sign of sun damage.
Blood Spots
Red blood spots are commonly found on trunk and torso, front and back. As they are
pockets of blood in the surface of the skin, they are ideally treated with advanced electrolysis.
Milia
(Often known as milk spots) Milia are raised pearly white hard lumps under the surface of
the skin and contain Keratin. They are mainly found on the face around the eyes, nose, cheeks and chin
areas. The exact cause is unknown and varied from, oily skin, overly rich skin creams and sun induced
changes as the skin ages.
Moles
Moles are small dark marks on the skin caused by cells that produce pigment (colour). They are
usually circular or oval in shape with a smooth edge though can be rough, can be flat or raised, and some may
have hair growing from them. Some moles are present from birth however most develop later in life and can
change in appearance through time. Most moles are normal and harmless but in a few cases can develop into
melanoma, a type of skin cancer. Check your moles every few months.
Skin Tags
(Penduclated Papillomas) Skin tags are made up of loose fibrous tissue and hang from the
surface of the skin. Skin tags vary in size and shape from a grain of rice to a pea. They are commonly found
on areas of friction such as the neck, under arms, top of the thighs, and bra line. Skin tags can be removed
very quickly by advanced electrolysis therefore multiple tags can be treated in one session.
Spider Nevus
A spider nevus is a collection of small, dilated arterioles (blood vessels)
clustered very close to the surface of the skin. The cluster of vessels is web-like, with a central
spot and radiating vessels. Spider nevi (plural) can be caused by injuries, sun exposure, hormonal
changes, or liver disease, but often the cause is unknown.
Thread Veins
Thread veins are dilated capillaries that can appear on the body and face, often
around nose and cheek areas. Thread veins are more obvious after mid-life when the skin becomes thinner,
and loses some of its collagen. Other causes can include sun and wind damage, pregnancy, acne, smoking, and
extreme temperatures.
Warts
Warts are benign cutaneous tumours that are viral and contagious. They commonly appear on the
feet, hands and lower arms. Various treatments are on the market, however, treatment by Advanced Electrolysis
is probably the most effective removal method.
